A framed original textural seascape which is contemporary and modern. Coastal tide and surf with a seagull flying above the waves. It has been painted in acrylic medium and finished with satin varnish to protect the surface. Painted in a slightly impressionistic and semi abstract style, it exudes high energy, great tonal value and contrast creating both depth and drama throughout.
The colours chosen were tones of turquoise blue, emerald green with shades of grey white and umber. Overlays of washes were given to add depth to the translucent water giving an almost 3D effect and 'movement' to the ocean. The dark moody atmospheric sky reflects onto the surface adding continuity and harmony.
A beautiful impactful piece to hang in your home or work space. Because of the natural and neutral colouring of both painting and frame it will suit many styles of interior creating focus and impact.
It has been painted onto archival quality professional art board and mounted onto thick MDF. Both solid wood frame and backing have been painted with a warm white satin paint which complements the artwork. All fittings are in place and therefore ready to hang.
