This piece has been painted in a realistic and slightly impressionistic style. I have used a dark palette for the background of ultramarine blue with hints of pink and violet. This has made the image of the duck stand out in all its beauty. White feathers with hints of reflection from the background colour giving unity and harmony to the painting. 
 
The framed painting measures 46.5 cm square (the actual image measures 26 cm). The frame is made from solid wood with smooth texture, warm white finish. The front panel is glass and backed with MDF. The archival quality white mount card has a slight texture to the surface and the bevel cut is black core to give a contemporary edge to the finished piece.  Fixtures and fittings are in place and therefore all ready to hang!
