Undulating is a small framed acrylic semi abstract seascape painting with delicate pastel colour tones throughout. 
 
I have used a palette of light blue and green hues for the sky which reflect in stronger tones for the sea and land. There is contrast in the sea adding depth, vibrancy and movement. The waves run to the shore onto the warm light sand and there is dark foliage with pink and green undertones to the foreground. It has been painted in a slightly impressionistic way with expressionist and painterly qualities throughout. The birds in the sky add to the perspective making this seascape overall, a soft toned, harmonious and atmospheric work of art.
 
The artwork evokes an emotional response to forms, atmosphere and textures from rural aspects of the British rustic coastline.
 
It has been framed with a contemporary, modern style solid wood frame with whitewash, matt finish. The painting itself has been made on archival professional, primed art board and mounted on thick, painted MDF. All fixtures and fittings are in place and therefore ready to hang. Because of the varied and natural use of colour tone it would enhance many room settings whether contemporary or the more traditional.
