A small framed abstract seascape, intricate and highly textural. An original painting, entitled 'The Wave'  is a stunning contemporary piece of fine artwork to highlight any area in your home.
 
Warm harmonious tones of turquoise and ultra marine blue mixed with burnt umber were used to achieve this expressionist, abstract of the ocean wave. I have paid much attention to detail and shape in my interpretation of the waves form. Deep tones with light white foam and spray form this dramatic and tonal art piece and finished in a gloss varnish to convey a sense of 'wetness' and glow. One of my favorite subjects to paint and inspired from having spent time at the coast, 'living the life' as they say, and never without my sketchpad close to hand. I find that using acrylic paint with different mediums, initially without the use of the trusty paintbrush, gives me the effects I need to convey the aspects of uneven, coarse, natural beauty of the sea.
 
It has been painted on primed professional archival art board and framed with a solid warm white painted frame with satin sheen. The artwork is fixed onto 6mm MDF (also painted warm white) and all fixtures are in place, and therefore ready for hanging in your home or office workspace to add impact and composition to any setting.
