'Storm Approach' is an impressionistic, fine art painting using acrylic medium. Full of atmosphere and mood with this 'Turner Style', expressive work of art.
For texture, I have first layered thick gesso onto the primed cotton canvas surface giving the artwork strong textural content. Using a palette of umber, green and ochre, I was able to create strong tonal value using many painterly technicques to interpret the stormy expressionist landscape. The contoured land adds depth to the forefront in contrast to the light sky, giving great impact to the viewer in this ethereal landscape.
It has been framed with the iconic 'St. Ives' frame which is a large, solid wood and modern style, professionally spray painted with a warm white, mat finish. Because of the colour tones of both frame and painting, it would suit not just the traditional style home but a modern, contemporary interior. A fine art piece to give your home or work space an harmonious and stylish focal point. All fixtures and fittings are in place and is therefore, ready to hang.
