A framed original, textural, seascape which is a contempoary and modern peice of artwork. Coastal tide, waves, surf and seagull flying above. It has been painted in acrylic medium and finished with satin varnish to protect the surface. Painted in a slightly impressionistic and semi abstract style, it has great tonal value and contrast creating both depth and drama throughout.
The colour palette chosen were tones of turquoise blue, emerald green with shades of grey white and umber. Overlays of washes were given to add depth to the translucent water giving an almost 3D effect and 'movement' to the sea. The moody and atmospheric sky reflects onto the surface adding continuity and harmony.
A beautiful timeless piece to hang in your home or work space. Because of the natural tone of both painting and frame it is sure to suit many style of interior creating focus and impact.
'Salty Sea' has been painted onto archival quality professional art board and mounted onto thich MDF. Both solid wood frame and backing have been painted with a warm white satin paint which complements the artwork. The art itself has been overlayed with a satin varnish to protect the surface. All fittings are in place and therefore ready to hang.
