'Rural Retreat' is a semi abstract contemporary landscape painting during sunset, using acrylic medium on board. It has been painted in an expressionist style with great tonal value and a vivid colour palette. There are strong tones throughout creating diversity and interest within. Complementary to the backdrop of the sky, shades of deep blue, pink orange, yellow green and turquoise in the middleground gently reflect light over water from the horizon. The foreground is of deep colour tone which depicts the foliage within a rural setting creating atmosphere and dramatic vibrancy throughout.
It has been framed in a contemporary, modern style using solid wood painted with warm white, satin finish. The painting itself has been painted onto archival professional, primed art board and mounted on thick, painted MDF to complement the artwork beautifully. All fixtures and fittings are in place and therefore ready to hang.
