'Rough Ridge' is an abstract expressionist industrial work of art entitled which is an highly textured contemporary piece of street art for the modern design interior. Full of expressive and painterly qualities. Think, weathered, aged, patina and ancient architectural buildings from times past and you will be close to imagining this new concept of wall art in your home, office, retail or hospitality interior. With an underlay of gesso I am able to create the look of a naturally aged, patinated style for the ancient weathered look. This artwork has great depth, character with a rustic, rugged quality. I have used spatters of gold with layers of pigmented acrylic paint adding mediums in a considered approach to recreate a sense of the elements for which great architecture has reacted to over time. For this style of work I find acrylic and gesso my chosen mediums allowing me to work with spontaneity and an immediacy, enabling to focus from my minds eye. My inspiration comes from many sources, most of which are from travel to weird and wonderful places steeped in history. Modern culture is now moving to the industrial interior design concept and think this style of contemporary art complements many modern ideas and features in a new and interesting environment giving a focal point to any wall aspect. The neutral, natural colours of the artwork means it is versatile with many colour schemes. 
 
The deep edge stretched canvas comes with fixtures and fittings in place and is therefore ready to hang without framing although a frame of your choice can still be added if you prefer.
