'Rocky Ride' is a framed, semi abstract, contemporary piece of fine art. It has been painted with acrylic medium onto professional, archival art board and finished with a satin varnish to protect the artwork. It has great tonal depth and contrast and painted in a textural and expressive style which is full of painterly qualities.
 
I used colour tones of turquoise, blue, ochre and brown (umber). The work has been inspired by my time spent by the coast, studying, observing, drawing and photographing patterns and shapes related to the rural aspects of the British coastline. The artwork itself, evokes an emotional response to forms and atmosphere of rustic beauty.
 
The painting has been mounted on 6 mm MDF which has been painted with warm white and framed with solid wood which has also been painted in warm white with satin finish. All fixtures are in place and therefore ready to hang in your home or work space. It will suit many interiors whether modern or the more traditional and will give great impact to areas of interest, creating an eye catching feature and focal point.
