'Rain in the City' is a contemporary abstract painting using acrylic medium. It is an atmospheric painting inspired by the City of London. People clustered together in the rain heading for work, umbrellas held high, with just a glimpse of the sun breaking through.
I have used complementary colour tones of rich pink and cobalt blue with shades of black to add deeper contrast. Form and light are the elements in this artwork giving it vitality and movement creating perspective and a strong focal point.
It has been painted onto a 'chunky' primed cotton canvas with wood stretcher bars. It can be hung with or without a frame and all fixtures and fittings are in place for you to hang in your home or work space creating a strong focus.
