A large richly textured original abstract painting on canvas created with many layers of color creating an expressive interpretation from the minds eye. Think rustic, ancient, weathered walls, patina and industrial within a modern design environment and you have today's contemporary art. Full of detailed description of times past.
 
Soft rose, blush and coral tones are interwoven with deeper burgundy, pink, red and earthy shades while flashes of turquoise emerge through the surface. Scratched lines, delicate splashes and heavily worked areas create depth and movement inviting the eye to explore the many layers. The result is an atmospheric and evocative work of art which has great impact whilst providing interest throughout to add focus for large areas within the home or work space.
 
The artwork has been painted directly onto cotton canvas with an underlayer of thick gesso adding diversity to the paint. The abstract concept lends itself to a finish which is both rustic and rugged in its design whilst enhancing an aged effect. 
 
Acrylic paints and sprays are my favored mediums for this style. They allow great freedom of expression and am able to convey what I need to express. 
 
All fixtures for hanging are in place, however, the canvas can be framed in a style which would suit your interior.
