A medium size framed original painting in acrylic medium which is reminiscent of the Norfolk Broads, UK.
 
An atmospheric and expressive coastal landscape capturing the quiet beauty between land and water. Soft hazy skies stretch across the horizon while a meandering tidal path draws the eye through the textured grasses and salt-marsh towards the distant water where boats are moored and birds fly.
 
Subtle blues, weathered greys and muted turquoise with touches of ochre create a feeling of calm and stillness while the loose textured brushwork give the landscape a sense of movement and life. A small flight of birds adds a delicate focal point to the expansive sky.
 
A contemplative painting inspired by those peaceful moments when the tide has receded and the landscape is left quietly exposed.
 
The frame is made from solid wood and painted warm satin white as is, the 6 mm thick MDF backing board which the painting sits on. The surface of the artwork is of professional quality, archival art board and the image has been finished with a satin varnish for it's protection.
