'On the Rocks' is a beautiful and dramatic seascape painted in blue and umber acrylic paint using a palette knife to apply thick layers in an impressionistic style. Natural colour tones were used to depict a British atmospheric coastal scene apparent in many rocky inlets throughout the UK. Stunning!
It has been painted onto primed cotton canvas and overlayed with a satin varnish. The frame style is 'floating' or 'inlay' where the canvas has been laid inside. It has been crafted from solid wood and painted with a warm mat white finish.
