A medium size semi abstract coastal seascape painting. Dark and light shades collide creating a moody, atmospheric work of art. It has a rustic modern feel with the use of many painterly qualities throughout.
The subtle shades of a cloudy stormy sky reflect onto the land of sand rock and stone using an expressionist form of technique and detail. With acrylic paint and variouos mediums I can achieve the effects I need to convey the aspects of uneven, coarse, natural beauty of the landscape whilst maintaining the essence of what first inspired me. In my finished work, I hope that I have conveyed to the viewer a sense of mood, which was present at the time of painting it.
The bespoke, chunky wood 'floating' frame is a warm white complementing the neutral tones of the image beautifully. It would suit most interiors creating interest and an impactful feature and focal point.
