'London Life' is a contemporary abstract painting using acrylic medium. An atmospheric painting inspired by the capitol's city streets. People walking in the rain against the elements gives a feeling of hustle and bustle of city life.
I first primed the canvas with layers of gesso creating an uneven, textured surface. With palette knife, I applied the acrylic paint using strong colour tones of turquoise, cobalt blue, red, black, grey and white creating depth and contrast. Form, composition and light are the elements to this peice, giving it vitality, movement and perspective. It is sure to give great impact to the viewer and a strong focal point to your wall, whether at home or within your work space.
It has been painted onto a 'chunky' primed cotton canvas with wood stretcher bars. Because of the deep edge, it can be hung with or without a frame so is sold unframed for you to make your own choice, to suit your space.
