'Life and Soul' is a bright and colourful semi abstract contemporary painting in acrylic medium. It is square in design and painted onto streched, primed cotton canvas. Painterly qualities are used thoughout with textural and expressionist paint strokes making this artwork a vibrant and dramatic seascape full of light and vitality.
 
I have used colours in various shades of pink, mint green, turquoise blue, violet, yellow and black all complementary in tone and therefore giving harmony and balance throughout. It was inspired by the coastline of St. Ives, Cornwall which I was lucky enough to visit recently. I have taken the concept of location and my response toward this beautiful landscape using it's appeal to translate the atmosphere and mood of the time and place. I would like to think the viewer could envisage the same beauty and energy which was present at the time of painting. 
 
It would suit many room settings giving the viewer impact to any aspect of home or office space. It has been left unframed for you to decide which frame suits your space. Although a modern work of art, it would suit a contemporary or the more traditional frame.
