'Jewel of St Ives' is a seascape and representation of the view I saw in Cornwall along the coastline. Unspoil over the years and just as stunning. It has been painted onto cotton canvas using acrylic medium. It has been built up with an underlay of texture from primer which adds a rustic quality to the finished pieces.
Simplistic in its design buy impactful to the veiwer. Deep hues of turquoise blue adorn the beach with rock formation breaking the waves to the shore. The sky is of cloudless light blue, just how I saw it on the day.
It has been framed with bespoke, solid wood 'floating' style frame painted warm white with satin finish. It would be suited to many interior settings whether contemporary or the more traditional.
