Hollyhocks, flowers and bees are the theme for this beautiful detailed, bright and colourful orginal watercolour painting.
I chose tones of yellow and light blue to create a country style theme of garden flora. Bees (which I have a passion for) buzz around the flowers capturing interest and movement. Although modern and contemporary, it is a traditional British grown plant intricate in its detail and form. For me it has a nostalgic connection with memories of my nans country garden which she looked after so beautifully.
It has been painted on archival, thick Bockingford watercolour paper and double mounted in warm white and light moss green archival mount card giving an harmonious colour tone to complement the painting. Framed in textured, warm white solid wood frame which adds a rustic country feel. It has a glass front panel and backed with MDF for its protection and rigidity. All fixtures and fittings are in place therefore ready to hang in your home to add that pop of colour!
