The watercolour was painted using dramatic, dark hues for the background with splashes of paint to give movement and life to this spectacular piece of art. The warm colour tones of orange, umber and red make these different chicken breeds stand out against the dark background giving them light and tonal harmony together. A quirky painting which make these little creatures, as always, a joy to paint!
The painting is framed in solid wood which has been professionally finished in a painted warm white tone. The archival double mount is of white and beige. The watercolour art paper used is thick Bockingford 310 gsm. The artwork is backed with MDF and the front panel is glass. All fixtures and fittings are in place. It is sure to light up any room and although a modern and contemporary style, would be suitable for any country or modern home.
