'Hare in Lavender' is a beautiful image of the wild hare found around the British countryside. This enigmatic creature has long been the attraction of country folk, being spotted in the open fields around. A beautiful sight.

Using a colour palette of ochre, violet and umber I was able to achieve the detailed texture of the fur creating light and dark tones to form this striking image. It is a large watercolour and painted in a contemporary style so therefore can be hung in either the more modern interior or the traditional style home creating a strong impact and focal point.

The frame is made from solid light oak and backed with MDF. It has a glass panel to the front and all fixtures are in place ready for hanging. It has been painted on archival quality Bockingford 350gsm watercolour paper. The archival warm white mount has a slight texture to the surface with a black core creating a crisp clean edge to the artwork.
