Semi Abstract, original seascape entitled 'Granite' is a framed, medium size original painting in acrylic medium. Colours of blue, turquoise, umber and grey are used with subtle washes of pink and dashes of red to add vibrancy. It has been layered with a textural quality adding a deeper dimention. The foreground has a glossy finish to emulate the shore surface, wet and wild! It has a contemporary style and because of natural tones of both painting and frame, could be hung in the modern interior as well as the more traditional. I would like to think I have conveyed to the viewer a sense of the uneven, rustic, natural beauty of the land. It has been inspired by the beautiful, unpredictable, British coastline.
The 'chunky' deep, solid wood frame is painted with warm white. The art itself has been painted onto a textured primer, cotton canvas. All fixtures are in place and therefore ready to hang in your home or workplace.
