'Golden Pool' is a stunning, impactful still life coastal painting of nature and the natural world. It has warm neutral colour tones with unique and subtle textural qualities throughout.  Stones, pebbles, seaweed, and fish swim within clear water rock pools by the coastline of the sea shore.
 
It is a tall, semi abstract and slightly impressionistic landscape which has been painted in acrylic medium with satin finish. I used muted, neutral tones of ochre, burnt umber, grey and blue shades making the colours work harmoniously creating continuity throughout. Hopefully, to the viewer, it gives a calming and peaceful sense to the mind, which was my intention to convey at the time of painting. With its tones of light and dark it brings depth and contrast with pastel shades against the textured rock and seaweed adding to this ethereal coastal work of art.
 
Due to the use of neutral colours, this is a painting to highlight and enhance almost any room decor in your home or work environment.  It has been painted onto a deep edge canvas and framed in a 'floating' style chunky solid wood frame which has been painted professionally in warm white with satin finish. The front width of the chunky frame measures 3 cm and sets the image off beautifully for a modern and contemporary finish.
