Painted in an impressionist style, the landscape depicts wet sand and reflection from the blue sky with gentle waves rolling onto the beach where friends walk together by the waters edge. I used a light ultramarine blue with pink undertones, burnt umber, yellow ochre and siena palette to achieve the contrasting light and dark shades, adding subtle reflection throughout.
The bespoke frame is made from solid wood which has a slightly rustic and grainy surface. It has been professionally painted in a matt warm white complementing the artwork beautifully. Although a modern work of art, would suit a contemporary or traditional interior creating a soft and interesting focal point.
