Framed, Abstract Coastal Art. A beautiful work of fine art on deep edge, stretched, primed cotton canvas
 
This piece of artwork was inspired by the British coastline. Atmospheric and deep in tone with a modern  and contemporary quality. The light sky reflects onto the land of sand, rock and stone where I have used an expressionist form of painterly lines and detail. Before applying paint, I first put textured paste onto the canvas to give the finished piece a more rustic, textural feel. I find that using acrylic paint with different mediums gives me the effects I need to convey the aspects of uneven, course, natural beauty of the landscape. 
 
The 'floating frame' is made from solid wood and painted in a satin warm white.  Because of the neutral tones of both painting and frame, this contemporary work of art would suit many interiors creating impact whilst highlighting a place of interest on your wall at home or in the office.
