Framed, semi abstract original, highly textured, expressionist, contemporary piece of fine artwork. It has been created using acrylic paint with overlays of neutral tones giving great depth, contrast and atmosphere to the coastal image. Shades of light turquoise blue, brown (umber) soft blues and white tones have been used to obtain this impressionistic style of work.
The paint is laid initially with my hands, various art tools and mediums, finding I can manipulate the paint with ease in this way to give an even flow.
The artwork has been painted on primed cotton canvas and finished with a satin varnish for its protection. The chunky solid wood frame is painted in a warm white to complement the artwork and is sure to make a dramatic and interesting focal point in your home or work space. Because of the natural and neutral colour tones of both frame and image it will suit most interiors, enhancing areas and creating an eye catching feature. All fittings are in place and therefore ready to hang.
