'East Bay' is a semi abstract contemporary seascape painting using acrylic medium on board. It has been painted in an expressionist style with great tonal value and soft harmonious pastel colours. There are muted and blended tones throughout creating diversity and interest within. Complementary to the backdrop of the delicate shades of lilac, pink sky the middleground gently reflects light from the sea. The foreground is of a deep translucent tone which depicts the bay in a rural setting painted in an expressionist and unique style creating atmosphere and a warm vibrancy throughout.
 
The artwork evokes an emotional response to forms, atmosphere and textures from rural aspects of the British rustic coastline.
 
It has been framed in a contemporary, modern style using solid wood and painted with warm white with satin finish. The painting itself has been made on archival professional, primed art board and mounted on thick, painted MDF to complement the artwork beautifully. All fixtures and fittings are in place and therefore ready to hang. Because of the varied use of colour tone it would enhance many room settings whether modern or the more traditional.
