A seascape painting in acrylic medium of a woman walking her beloved dog by the waters edge of the sea shore. A reflection of time spent at the beautiful Cornish coast walking upon the vast unspoilt beaches of the stunning coastline of England.
 
A contempory style painting evoking atmosphere of times past using nuances of expressionist brushstrokes similar to that of the  impressionists, describing the reflection from the blue grey sky onto the wet salty sand of the beach. Seagulls fly over the sea waves creating movement and a sense of time and place. A palete of violet ultramarine, burnt umber and yellow ochre are combined creating harmony and subtlety throughout. I would like to think this painting would evoke happy memories to the viewer and a freedom of spirit.
 
It has been painted onto professional, primed art board and coated with a layer of satin varnish for it's protection whilst adding a subtle sheen finish.
 
The bespoke frame is made from solid wood which has a slightly rustic and grainy surface. It has been professionally coated in a matt warm white complementing the artwork beautifully. Although a modern work of art, would suit a contemporary or traditional interior creating a soft and interesting focal point.
