'Sea Shimmer' is an original large underwater geometric style painting in acrylic medium. Images of fish and kelp from the ocean lend itself to an impactful  abstract work of art. It has been painted onto a deep edge stretched canvas.

Reeds, fish and shells on a dark background make the subject stand out in any interior setting. The palette chosen was cyan blue, white, green and gold creating strong shapes with great tonal depth and value. The gold adds a shimmer to the artwork giving it diversity and 'movement' and an ethereal image. The sides of the canvas are painted in black to complement the colour tones of this image and therefore can be hung with or without a frame.

I am inspired by many things, water for me, gives me immense freedom of expression. I have spent time by the coast, studying, exploring, painting and drawing textural references close up in the natural world. This textural piece of artwork evokes an emotional response to forms and atmosphere from aspects of the ocean.

It would suit many home interiors where you wish to create a contemporary and modern design style. This vibrant painting will not go unnoticed!
