'Definitive' is a large abstract painting full of painterly expression. Inspired by ancient architecture, weathered and patinated walls of times gone by, thus creating a contemporary geometric design focus for your home or work environment. 
 
Layers of gesso have been added directly onto the stretched cotton canvas before the acrylic paint is applied. The finished painting has a 'chalky concrete' effect which lends itself to a finish which is rustic and textured using subtle colours of muted tone enhancing this style of work. Several layers of paint were applied with different mediums and selected tools and techniques to obtain the aged effect for this unique work of art. 
 
Acrylic paints and sprays are my favoured mediums for this style. They allow great freedom for application and I'm able to convey what I need to express.  My inspiration comes from many years of travel, be it ancient cities or the more rural locations. I'd like to think that the viewer, like me, can see the charm and beauty of such qualities from aspects of years gone by.
 
All fixtures and fittings are in place and therefore, ready to hang. The frame is made from slightly textured chunky, solid wood and painted in a matt black complementing the art work beautifully adding impact and intrique to the viewer. It has been created to give focus to your setting which would suit a natural style of interior either work or home.
