'Crest' is an abstract expressionist industrial style of work which is an highly textured contemporary piece of street art for the modern design interior. Full of expression and painterly qualities. Think weathered, aged, patina and ancient architectural buildings from times past and you will be close to imagining the new concept of wall art in your home, office, retail or hospitality interior. With an uneven underlay of gesso I am able to create the look of a naturally aged, expressionist style for the weathered look. This artwork has great depth with a unique rustic quality. I have used spatters of gold with layers of pigmented acrylic paint adding mediums in a considered approach to recreate a sense of the elements for which great architecture has reacted to over time. For this style of work I use acrylic and gesso, my chosen mediums, allowing me to work with spontaneity and immediacy to enable me to focus from my minds eye.
 
My inspiration comes from many sources, most of which are from travel to weird and wonderful places steeped in history. Modern culture is now moving to the industrial interior design concept and realise this style of contemporary art complements many modern ideas and features with new and interesting interiors giving a strong focal point to any wall aspect. The neutral and natural colours of the artwork means it is versatile with many colour schemes. 
 
The deep edge stretched cotton canvas comes with fixtures and fittings in place and is therefore ready to hang without framing although a frame of your choice can still be added if you prefer.
