'Sunset Sands' is a semi abstract coastal fine art painting in acrylic medium on canvas. Impressionist in its' style it depicts a coral colored sky reflecting onto the beach casting shadow and form below. Rustic nuance highlights the subtle organic and weathered elements creating a warm atmospheric coastal environment full of texture and painterly technique.  Depth, drama, perspective and light give the viewer interest and sense of calm and warmth whilst creating a unique focal point to your space, whether contemporary or more traditional.

I used an infusion of colour from a palette of orange, pink, blue brown and yellow in complementary and subtle shades to describe the landscape with lighter tones for the horizon and sea. The mediums and acrylic paint integrate and interact achieving fluidity and unity to this inspired work of art.

It has been painted onto primed cotton canvas with solid wood bar frame for its sturdy support. The wide front bespoke frame is made from solid wood which has a slightly rustic quality and is finished in a matt warm white which complements the painting beautifully.
