British Summertime is a contemporary abstract painting using acrylic medium. It depicts the typical British weathr that we have all come to expect. It is full of atmosphere with people clustered in the rain, umbrellas held high.
I have used complementary colour tones of blue and green with shades of black to add deeper contrast. Form and light are the elements in this artwork giving it vitality and movement creating perspective and a strong focal point.
It has been painted onto a 'chunky' primed cotton canvas with wood stretcher bars. It can be hung with or without a frame and all fixtures and fittings are in place for you to hang in your home or work space creating a strong focus.
