'Beyond the Port' is a small, framed semi abstract coastal painting using acrylic medium on board.
 
Colours exude, turquoise, sea green and tinges of pink reflect as the sun goes down on the shore casting shadow on the rock, in contrast to the bright light of the evening sky. Plenty of painterly qualities and technique is used to fuse the paint, giving an even and textural flow whilst creating this expressionist, inspired, and beautiful little seascape.
 
The artwork evokes an emotional response to forms, atmosphere and textures from rural aspects of the British rustic coastline.
 
It has been framed in a contemporary, modern style using solid wood and painted with warm white and satin finish. The painting itself has been made on archival professional, primed art board and mounted on thick, painted MDF. All fixtures and fittings are in place and therefore ready to hang. Because of the varied use of colour tone it would enhance many room settings whether contemporary or the more traditional.
