'Bankside' is an original contemporary landscape painting using acrylic medium. Full of colour, depicting a serene setting using deep pink and lilac with the sky reflecting over a lake and boats in the background bobbing in the water. The foreground flora which has been painted in an expressionist style, complement the rural British countryside scene beautifully, adding rustic charm and appeal.
It has been painted in a semi abstract style with great tonal value and expression of colour. There are muted and blended tones throughout creating diversity and interest within. Complementary to the backdrop are the delicate shades of blue, purple and pink sky whilst the middleground gently reflects light in abundance.
It has been framed in a contemporary, modern style. The frame is made of solid wood which has a rustic feel, due to the slight grain, with matt white finish.
The painting itself has been laid onto archival professional, primed art board. All fixtures and fittings are in place and therefore ready to hang. Because of the varied use of colour tone it would enhance many room settings adding an interesting pop of colour.
