This atmospheric landscape is an impressionistic style, contemporary, semi abstract painting. Dark in tone with highlights of muted light colour tone creating the beautiful rustic charm of countryside meadows at twilight.
This rural style painting has beauty and mood in abundance. I have offset light against dark using grey, blue with a hint of yellow ochre, giving a dramatic appearance to the the sky which reflects onto the wild flowers and foliage below. To create the meadow I used ochre, red and green by using various techniques creating a painterly style throughout. Birds are flying to give movement over the wildness of the countryside. I have painted it in an impressionistic style but lends itself to a contemporary modern piece of art.
It has been framed in a 'floating' style, solid, chunky wood frame, painted in a warm satin white. All fixtures and fittings are in place so therefore ready to hang in your home or work space. Because of the neural and natural colour tones, it should suit many interiors modern or traditional in design. It will surely give a certain impact to the viewer.
